Plum blossom festivals: Cherry blossoms will soon overshadow any other blooming thing, so take this month to enjoy the just-as-beautiful plum trees blossoming now across Tokyo. Many locations commemorate the blossoms with festivals chock full of food, drink and entertainment. For example on Sun, Feb 11, there will be a horseback archery demonstration against a plum blossom backdrop at the Odawara Plum Festival.
