Cherry blossom festivals are winding down this week as many spots turn off their lights for another year.

Get your fill of pink in a different way at the Kanamara Matsuri. Here you can see a procession of phallic statues, one of which is the color of candy floss.

Kanamara Penis Festival

You read that right. The Kanamara Matsuri, aka the Penis Festival, features phallic imagery in everything from the decorations to the snacks, but the main show is a parade of numerous giant penis statues, including one that’s pink.

Paella and Tapas Festival

Visitors can enjoy popular Spanish dishes, such as paella and tapas, as well as drinks such as Spanish wine, beer and sangria. In addition, there will be music and cultural performances throughout the three days of the festival. This year it will be held at Hibiya Park.

Nezu Shrine Azalea Festival

The Bunkyo (or Nezu Shrine) Azalea Festival is known for its iconic landscape of torii gates surrounded by a sea of pink. There are food and drink stalls, a market, and performances.

Sakura Genesis

Sakura Genesis is a New Japan Pro-Wrestling event that takes place at Ryōgoku Kokugikan (the sumo stadium) each year. The match will be streamed online in English on the NJPW World App for non-Japan territories and on VOD later for those in Japan.

Shibuya Vintage & Artisan Market

The Vintage & Artisan Market brings together a thoughtful mix of vintage fashion, handcrafted goods, and indie designers, all in the open air at Shibuya Kitaya Park. With a diverse lineup of vendors, this is a chance to browse at your own pace and bring home an item with a story.

Nyan Fes

In Japanese, nyan is the sound a cat makes, but this festival (for cat lovers, by cat lovers) will get plenty of humans purring, too. There will be around 500 booths filled with cat-inspired products: posters, paintings, mugs, mittens with kittens — you name it.

Kameido Tenjin Wisteria Festival

During the annual Kameido Tenjin Wisteria Festival, the wisteria is illuminated after dusk (during the height of the season). There are also food stalls and events, like tea ceremonies, taiko drumming, and ikebana displays.
